On Monday, Daniel Penny was found not guilty in connection to the 2023 death of Jordan Neely. Neely’s father spoke outside the courthouse after the verdict was read out, claiming the "system is rigged" and a BLM leader called for “black vigilante” action.

"I just want to say, I miss my son. My son didn’t have to go through this. I didn’t have to go through this either. It hurts, really, really hurts. What are we going to do people? What’s going to happen to us now? I’ve had enough of this. The system is rigged. Come on people. Let’s do something about this," Neely's father said.

Black Lives Matter of Greater New York co-founder Hawk Newsome said "we need some black vigilantes" in the wake of the Penny verdict.

"What we preach is unity, black unity. Stop begging this system to justify our lives," Newsome said. Stop begging this system for justice. When things happen to you, you step up and defend yourself. Just like everybody else seeks justice on their own, just like everybody else has vigilantes, we need some black vigilantes. People want to jump up and choke us, and kill us for being loud? How about we do the same when they attempt to oppress us."

Protestors were seen clashing with officers outside the courthouse, per footage captured by Oliya Scootercaster. Some people screamed that Neely was "killed for being poor," with another yelling over a megaphone, "this is f*cking sick, they don’t give a God d*mn about us." Outside the courthouse, protestors chanted, "if we don’t get no justice, then they don’t get no peace," chants that earlier in the day led to the defense requesting a mistrial, which the judge denied.

Mr. Neely: although I am sorry for you to lose your son, what did YOU do for him to get him help? Did you try to get him treatment? Did you speak to a social worker, clergyman, helpline, clinic…anything? If you couldn’t control him, and he wouldn’t control himself, this was the inevitable outcome of his drug-fueled aggression and mental illness. Daniel Penny stood up to your criminal son to protect people from him. He is a hero.

Nothing to see here folks. Usual demographics coming out of the woodwork to claim the ghetto lottery.
